Soma Muscle Relaxant
September 7, 2010Soma muscle relaxeris also known as carisoprodol. It is prescribed for pain relief in muscle sprains, spasms, or any other injury and similar to Tramadol Pain Medication . This must be administered only on the prescription of the health expert and should not be taken on daily basis.
This drug is highly addictive and doctors advice to discontinue usage immediately after relief to avoid withdrawal symptoms. It’s generally prescribed in mild doses due it’s potency to make a person dizzy or drowsy. It’s advisable to get more rest while using this drug and avoid doing activities that require you to be alert like driving, etc. Consuming it after a meal avoids stomach related issues or burning sensation, hence patients with any history of epilepsy, liver or kidney disorder are not advised to use this drug. Individuals with drug abuse history, pregnant women and nursing mothers must be exempted from the use of this drug.
Soma must not be administered to children under 12 years of age. This is not a general pain killer and hence sold only with prescription from a registered medical practitioner.
